An animal model is a non-human species used in biomedical research because it can mimic aspects of a biological process or disease found in humans.
Disease-to-target discovery is the process of identification and early validation of targets involved in a disease.

Description: Female BALB/c mice were challenged with
Staphylococcus aureus USA300 NRS384 at both LD50 and
LD90 doses via intranasal (IN) instillation.
Description: Female BALB/c (n=10) mice were treated via the intraperitoneally (IP) with two antibodies 2- hours before intranasal (IN) instillation with 1x LD90 of Staphylococcus aureus USA300 NRS384. The animals treated with the control antibody succumbed to infection by day 2 post-infection.
