Cytotoxicity data is graphed using luminescence in relative light units (RLU). Cells were incubated with small molecules 1 and 2 for a predetermined amount of time and Cell Titer Glo® was added to the cells to obtain RLU readings.
Small molecules 1 and 2 were tested for cytotoxicity in A549 cells. After a 72 hour incubation, small molecule 1 is toxic at most of the tested concentrations. Small molecule 2 is slightly toxic at the highest tested concentrations and nontoxic for the remaining tested concentrations.
