FAQ

  • How can I place an order for reagents? 
All orders can be placed via our website using credit card or by submitting a purchase order (PO) to services@ibtbioservices.com. If you use your account login to purchase any products, POs can be directly uploaded during checkout. Please call us at (877) 411-2041 to make a payment using a credit card OR Credit Card payments can be made via our website OR you can call us at (877) 411-2041 to make a payment using a credit card.   
  • What payment terms do you accept? 
Our standard payment term is NET30.   
  • Do you charge sales tax?  
Yes, standard sales taxes apply. If you are a tax-exempt organization, please provide us with your tax-exempt certificate and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly.    
  • How do I place a bulk order?  
Please contact us at services@ibtbioservices.com for bulk orders discounts and shipping timelines.   
  • How will I receive info about my order and shipment tracking? 
Shortly after your order has been successfully submitted online through our storefront, you should receive an order confirmation to your email from our automated system. If you have placed the order with our product representative, all details will be provided via email.   
  • How will Products requiring cold storage be Shipped? 
All reagents that require long term storage at temperatures below 0°C or at 4°C are packaged with dry ice or on ice packs, respectively.   
  • What is the lead time for domestic shipments? 
All our products are shipped from our headquarters which is based on the East Coast in Rockville, Maryland. Items are shipped through FedEx Priority with delivery within 1-2 days from shipment. Any domestic order that is received/processed after Thursday at 1:00pm (EST) will be shipped on the following Monday.   
  • What is the lead time for International Shipments outside the US? 
Items are shipped through FedEx International Priority Express with delivery within 2-3 days. Delivery time may vary depending on each country’s customs process. Any international order that is received/processed after Wednesday at 1:00pm (EST) will be shipped on the following Monday. For shipments to Europe, Japan and Korea, please contact our authorized distributors for your territory.
  • Product defects or Quality Issues: 

For concerns regarding quality issues unrelated to temperature, customers may request a return or exchange within 7 days of receipt. Our quality control team will assess the returned items, and upon confirmation of the issue, a decision will be made to replace the product or issue a refund. 

  • Exchanges for Incorrectly Ordered Items: 

If customers mistakenly order the wrong reagent, we may consider exchanges under certain conditions. Items that have not yet been shipped or unopened packages can be exchanged. The customer will be responsible for shipping costs. 

  • Return Authorization Process: 

To initiate a return or exchange, customers must contact our Product Representatives team at services@IBTBioservices.com.  

Note: All returns/exchanges must be shipped back within 7 days of notifying our product representatives about the issue. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the specified conditions outlined in this policy.

  • Inquire about a service order:
    Reach out to us through our Contact Page or directly to one of our Business Development Representatives. A representative will be in touch with info regarding your request within 48hrs. A brief discovery call can be scheduled to help us better understand your desired endpoints. 
  • Quotes & SOWs:
    Before a quote can be drafted, we will finalize your study design, endpoints, and deliverables and have it approved by you. All study designs are planned in tandem with input from the technical staff that will be responsible for executing your study or custom service.  Once your study design is complete and approved by both you and our technical staff, we will issue a final quote and Statement of Work that can be executed.  
  • Execution & Scheduling:
    Upon execution of the quote and completion of fiscal obligations, a study schedule will be shared with the client. Studies will typically begin within 2-6 weeks (depending on study type) once all test articles have arrived at our facility.   
Our interview process typically begins with an initial invitation to a phone or video interview, where we assess your qualifications and fit for the position. If you progress to the next stage, you may be invited for an in-person onsite interview. This onsite interview usually involves meetings with a panel of interviewers to further evaluate your skills and experience. Additionally, there may be a technical application test to assess your abilities in relevant areas. As part of our hiring process, we may also request up to three references to gain insights into your work ethic and past performance.

IBT’s capabilities include BSL-2 testing. We offer BSL-3 and –4 testing capabilities through our partners.
